This full-day tour is designed to provide photography enthusiasts with a comprehensive understanding of digital photography, from beginner to advanced techniques, in an immersive and practical setting.
The tour begins in a local park, offering a stunning view of the city over its lake and a manmade waterfall. Here, participants will learn the fundamentals of photography, including composition, exposure, and lighting, while capturing the picturesque scenery. Next, the group will head towards the iconic Blue Boatshed, one of the most photographed buildings in Perth, where they will practice their new skills and learn about architectural photography.
The tour continues to Matilda Bay, where participants will have the opportunity to photograph locals at leisure, as well as the beautiful vista of Perth across the river. The nearby University of WA provides a splendid backdrop for further architectural and nature photography.
A light lunch will be served near the Old Mill, where participants will learn about the history and cultural significance of the area. After lunch, the group will head to South Perth and walk along the foreshore, taking photos of the city and its quirky sculptures. Participants can then choose to catch the ferry to Elizabeth Quay to explore the water playground, promenades, and carousel on their own, or return to their original pickup point.
