Experience the beauty and history of Sydney Harbour with a scenic cruise aboard the 121-year-old steam tug *Waratah*, offered by our partner Sydney Heritage Fleet in Greater Sydney, NSW. This two-and-a-half-hour cruise is a perfect way to spend a leisurely Sunday, bringing your own picnic lunch and beverages while discovering the fascinating sights and stories of the harbor.
As you board *Waratah* at the Northern end of Pirrama Park in Pyrmont, you''ll be able to see her birthplace at Cockatoo Island, as well as other historic harbor islands such as Goat, Spectacle, and Snapper. Along the way, you''ll also see Mort''s Dock and Woolwich Dock, which catered to the ships of yesteryear, with an experienced tour guide providing interesting background information.
But essentially, this cruise is all about relaxing and enjoying the stunning views of Sydney Harbour. Dress for the occasion with sensible footwear and a windproof jacket, and be sure to arrive promptly at 11:45 am for boarding at 12 noon. The cruise ends at 2:30 pm.
Getting to the wharf is easy, with various transport options available, including walking from Town Hall station, taking the Pyrmont Bay ferry from Circular Quay, catching the Light Rail from Central Station, or taking Bus No 389. Parking is also available at Jones Bay Wharf Car Park.
